RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media affairs department, eight terrorists were slain in two different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, while two Pakistan Army soldiers—including a captain—embraced death.
“Eight Khwarij have been sent to hell in two separate operations conducted in KP from November 29 to December 1, 2024,” according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Based on reports of terrorist activity, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in the Baka Khel neighborhood of Bannu District.
Security forces successfully engaged the insurgents’ location during the operation, killing five terrorists and wounding nine others, according to the ISPR.
Nevertheless, 29-year-old Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain accepted martyrdom after fighting valiantly during the operation.
Three terrorists were eliminated and two were taken into custody in another operation by the security forces.
