The first half of the current fiscal year 2024–2025 has seen a notable surge in automobile sales, according to recent figures from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA). With 46,398 cars sold, sales increased by 51.32% over the same period the previous year, when 30,662 units were sold.
According to the breakdown of sales, the Honda Civic and City sold 6,404 units, up from 3,938 the year before.
In the meantime, sales of the Toyota Corolla and Yaris increased by an astounding 82.47% to 9,633 units from 5,279 the previous year.
Sales of the Suzuki Swift increased significantly as well, rising 60.71% from 2,230 to 3,584 units this year. Not all models, though, saw increase.
The Suzuki Cultus’s sales increased somewhat from 1,062 to 1,130 units in the previous year.
