ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja dismissed the possibility that the elections would be postponed on Thursday, stating that all necessary arrangements would be made to hold “peaceful and transparent” elections on schedule.
After chairing a meeting at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Raja indicated informally with journalists in Islamabad that there was not enough time to print more ballot sheets.
“The ECP is in charge of organizing elections that are transparent and peaceful. All political parties were given equal treatment by the commission, and we have given the Supreme Court a thorough report on this subject,” he stated.
According to the CEC, all chief secretaries and inspector generals have received directions from the highest electoral body.
Rather than using the Result Transmission System (RTS), he claimed that the Election Management System (EMS) would guarantee transparent elections. He remarked that the ECP was doing a great job carrying out its mandate.
