KARACH: On Thursday, Federal Minister of Communication Aleem Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah decided to construct an M6 motorway that would connect Karachi and Sukkur via Hyderabad rather than Hyderabad to Sukkur.
According to a statement released by the Sindh CM House, they decided to investigate the feasibility of building the motorway through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) or a consortium that would be established by the federal and provincial governments.
The discovery occurred during a meeting between the two in Karachi’s CM House, where CM Murad promised to research the possibilities and methods to bring this about.
A 306-kilometer, six-lane wide, access-controlled Hyderabad-Sukkur motorway is planned as part of the motorway project.
