Following a 38-10 victory at The Stoop in November of last year, Sarries has now won eight straight meetings between the two teams since January 2020. In March, Sarries cruised to a 52-7 victory against Tottenham.
McCall anticipates a competitive game on Sunday despite the fact that his team is the only one to have won its first three Premiership games this season—Quins have lost two of their three.
According to him on Radio London, “We are probably expecting a game like that this time around. In the years before that we have had incredibly tight and close games that have almost always gone down to the last 10 minutes.”
McCall expressed concern about the threat posed by a team that features a number of international players, even though Quins let a second-half lead slip in their most recent loss to Northampton. “They have a very strong core,” McCall said. They have important players occupying vital positions.
“It is evident what they can do because they were up at halftime against Northampton last week.”
McCall is uncertain if Jarrod Evans of Wales will start at ten, alongside England’s Marcus Smith, at full-back or fly-half.
