Imran Khan, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) prisoner, voiced his discontent on Tuesday with the performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the current ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Aleema Khan, the sister of the PTI founder, told reporters outside Adiala jail that “Imran says cricket will be destroyed when favorites are put in decision-making positions.”
The comments are made in light of Green Shirt’s early withdrawal from the major event, which is the nation’s first International Cricket Council (ICC) event in 29 years.
In the recently concluded tri-nation ODI series, which also included South Africa, the reigning champions lost the first game against New Zealand, who defeated them twice.
