Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has been called before the National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to provide a thorough report on the costs incurred during the Champions Trophy.
Records of tournament-related financial losses have also been sought by the committee.
The PAC meeting, which was presided over by Junaid Akbar, reportedly examined an audit statement on the non-distribution of almost Rs2 billion associated with PSL 8. In their briefing to the committee, audit authorities said that the money had not been split between the PCB and PSL franchises.
The absence of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi from the meeting was a source of annoyance for PAC members.
