The actress utilized her appearance on the news show to promote MeSsy, a new podcast she is co-creating with fellow actress and Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, 42, who was diagnosed with MS when she was 20.
The interview follows Applegate’s surprise appearance at the Emmy Awards in January, where she received a standing ovation after entering the stage with a cane.
She even joked about her situation, stating, “You’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up, but it’s fine.”
Instead of feeling triumphant, she confessed she “kind of blacked out” in that moment.
