In a case involving the attack on the army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) during violent protests on May 9 of last year, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and other PTI officials were handed non-bailable arrest warrants by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
On December 10, Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) was directed by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah to bring all suspects before the court.
PTI leaders Shibli Faraz, Shehryar Afridi, Zain Qureshi, Tahir Sadiq, and Taimoor Masood were among those listed in the warrants.
This happened two days after Imran Khan, the jailed founder of the PTI, and hundreds of other PTI employees were charged in the GHQ attack case, which was connected to the violent protests on May 9.
