The president of the All India Muslim Majlis Mushawarat (AIMM), Feroz Ahmad, has criticized the way the authorities have handled the matter and voiced grave concerns about the happenings.
The matter is made more complicated by reports that Shalbh Mani Tripathi, a BJP MLA, has brought accusations against reporters who covered the events. AIMM president Feroz Ahmad has explicitly criticized the local government and police for their handling of the disturbances.
