Sorokin, 33, conned friends, hotels, and banks into funding her extravagant lifestyle while feigning the persona of affluent German heiress named Anna Delvey over a period of years.
After being detained in 2017, she was found guilty in April 2019 on eight counts, including grand larceny, and received a four-to 12-year sentence.
The ankle tag has been worn by Sorokin, whose family relocated from Russia to Germany in 2007, ever since she began her house arrest in October 2022 due to a deportation case.
Wednesday at New York Fashion Week, Sorokin attended the Untitled&Co runway show and posed for pictures with the black bejeweled tag on her right leg.
At the event, she also wore a tiara and a miniskirt.
She will compete in the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, which will premiere on September 17 on news and Disney+, it was revealed on Wednesday.
An shot of Sorokin in a sparkling outfit that was provided makes it seem as though the show is embracing the ankle bracelet. It shows the tag clearly on her leg.
Sorokin was freed from prison in February 2021, but according to immigration officials, she should be sent back to her home country of Germany because she overstayed her visa.
