Concern over the attack on a convoy of foreign diplomats on the Malam Jabba Road in Swat has been voiced by the US State Department.
An effort was made to aim explosives toward the convoy. Four police officers were hurt when the explosion struck a police mobile unit that was a member of the convoy’s protection detail.
Burhan Khan, one of the wounded cops, passed away while receiving medical attention. Every diplomat was safe. The convoy was attacked close to Jahanabad.
The convoy had ambassadors from Bosnia, Russia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Portugal, according to Muhammad Ali Gandapur, Deputy Inspector General of Police Malakand.
