Three constables have been ordered to be arrested by the district police officer (DPO) of Nankana Sahib on allegations of authority misuse.
The suspects, named as Waqas, Allah Wasaya, and Muhammad Asif, are accused of giving cell phones to dangerous inmates while they were performing their judicial duties.
Following an internal inquiry, the DPO took action after learning that the constables had engaged in a major security and procedural violation by sneaking cell phones to prisoners.
Delivering forbidden goods to inmates carries a high risk of aiding and abetting criminal activity from within the prison.
