The National Assembly will meet on Sunday at 6 p.m. and will be working from a set agenda that includes nine items. Notably, the agenda that has been released does not include the 26th amendment to the Constitution.
Aaj News was informed by sources that a supplemental agenda will be used to propose the constitutional amendment. A motion to suspend the regular agenda will be approved at the start of the meeting.
During the meeting, the Legal Aid and Justice Authority Amendment Bill is also scheduled to be tabled.
The focus of the NA’s agenda item for the meeting is anomalies in the general sales tax collection process. A question-and-answer period is also planned as a component of the agenda. There is also a proposal to express gratitude to the president for speaking to the joint session.
