According to sources who spoke to Geo News, the International Cricket Council (ICC) will make a significant decision on Friday (today) about the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and whether Pakistan will continue to have hosting rights.
The outcome of this virtual board meeting will decide the tournament’s location and if it will go forward as planned.
The judgment was made in the midst of continuing disputes between India and Pakistan. A hybrid concept in which games against India are held at a neutral location has been vehemently resisted by Pakistan.
In a statement to the ICC, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, stated: “We will endure setbacks, but not at the cost of our dignity.”
