The National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency’s (NCCIA) regulations have been adopted by the federal cabinet.
Those who spread false information about government leaders and state institutions would face harsh consequences.
Cybercriminals face a maximum sentence of five to ten years in prison as well as significant penalties.
After eleven months, NCCIA would be operationalized with full authority.
In order to take action against cybercrimes, NCCIA is authorized to communicate with foreign organizations.
It is important to remember that NCCIA was established with approval from the caretaker administration in December 2023.
The relevant officers would serve in the authority for a year after the dissolution of the FIA Cyber Wing.
