On social media, some fans criticized the 2024 Grammy Awards for giving Travis Scott permission to perform in spite of the horrific incident that occurred at his Astroworld show in 2021.
Criticizing Travis Scott, someone wrote, “Travis Scott should not be allowed to perform.”
Another replied, “Why the —- is Travis Scott on my screen and not in prison #GRAMMYs?”
Things started to get tougher on the internet. Another said, “[We don’t care] about this murderer.”
Another said, “Travis Scott? Is this the same Travis Scott who, during his overbooked bootleg music festival in Houston, killed ten fans? Disregarding it out of a “love to hype up his fans” as if it didn’t kill them is extremely insulting. **** Grammy Awards.”
It follows the 2021 Travis performance at Astroworld, where a crowd rush claimed the lives of at least eight people.
When the Antidote rapper continued the performance in spite of fans yelling for assistance and ambulances arriving at the event site, the indignation intensified.
