David Lynch, who directed Naomi Watts to her breakout role, recently stated that the celebrated director was keen to get back to work prior to his death.
After Lynch passed away at the age of 78 in January of this year, the 56-year-old British actress spoke to the Los Angeles Times about her final encounter with him, which took place at lunch with Laura Dern in late November.
“We had a lovely lunch at his house,” Watts recalled. I was aware that he had been ill, but he seemed cheerful. Laura and I told him, “You can do it!” when he expressed a desire to return to work. The trailer could serve as your workspace. He was far from finished. I could see that he had a creative soul.
