In an effort to get ahead of a lengthy article published on Monday in the New Yorker magazine, he posted a video in which he explains a ten-year-old bear cub accident and the unusual series of events that ensued.
In the footage, Mr. Kennedy converses with actress and comedian Roseanne Barr over a half-eaten supper of Chinese beef ribs. He recalls how he witnessed a nearby car hit and kill a bear cub while on a day excursion hunting with a falcon.
He stated that he initially intended to take the dead animal home and skin it. After his schedule changed, he opted to dispose of the carcass in New York City’s Central Park, along with an old bicycle, to make it appear to be a riding accident.
The discovery of the bear and the bicycle the following day made headlines in New York City tabloids and television news programs.
