Due to road restrictions in response to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest, oil dealers issued a warning on Monday that a number of gas stations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad could soon run “dry.”
If the shipments don’t start up again on Monday, the dealers said, the current stocks will run out.
The approaching fuel scarcity in the twin cities has also been noted by the Petroleum Division.
The division directed the dealers to provide uninterrupted supply maintenance in a circular released on Monday.
As the PTI caravan gradually approaches the capital, a number of important highways have been blocked. Additionally, there are sizable security force deployments around the city.
