PESHAWAR/PARACHINAR: The News said Tuesday that seven people had been killed in an ambush on a convoy of vehicles carrying commodities and security personnel in the lower Kurram tribal division.
A truck driver, a bystander, and five security guards are among the dead, according to government sources.
Two attackers were also dead, they claimed. Five security guards and five drivers were among the more than 20 people injured.
Attackers attacked the caravan as it was traveling to Parachinar in the lower Kurram regions of Mandori, Ochat, Charkhel, and Bagan.
Consequently, one of the security guards and a driver were killed immediately. Gunship helicopters conducted bombardment after the event.
