KARACHI: According to authorities in the port city early on Monday, the number of fatalities from the cylinder explosion in Hyderabad’s Preetabad neighborhood has now reached 12 as an additional individual passed away from his wounds.
According to information from Karachi’s Civil Hospital, Munshi’s 45-year-old son M Akram passed away early on Monday. The horrible incident left his body entirely scorched.

On Sunday, Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Shoro visited Preetabad to convey his condolences to the victims’ families.
He told the grieving families that the Sindh government was deeply sorry for the terrible deaths.
Rs. 500,000 will be given to each injured person and Rs. 1 million will be given to the families of each deceased person.
Later, the mayor of Hyderabad visited the burn unit at the Civil Hospital in Karachi and asked how the injured patients were doing.
