Top Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) executives are now in Dubai negotiating with the ICC over the Champions Trophy, and sources say a decision is anticipated this week.
India has apparently agreed to many of Pakistan’s demands after first objecting, especially those pertaining to reimbursement for losses sustained as a result of the Indian team’s absence.
The PCB suggested a partnership deal in which Pakistan would take part in ICC events in India at a neutral location and India would play the Champions Trophy matches at a neutral location in Dubai.
There will be a vote if this partnership arrangement cannot be agreed upon.
But according to Indian reports, the PCB’s proposal was rejected by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
