According to a Paris airport official who spoke to Reuters, Delta Air Lines will now return the Russian woman who stowed away on a flight to Paris last week to New York on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the woman was scheduled to board a flight out of France at 2:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. ET). According to the official, she was on the aircraft when Delta declined to transport her.
When reporters reached out to Delta for more information, the airline refused to comment or explain why the woman was denied a flight on Tuesday. The French official declared, “We will attempt to send her back again with a French escort.”
Two French security guards will now accompany her on her return flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
