Jones claims that after President Biden’s sharply criticized debate performance against former President Trump last week, the party is now experiencing “full-scale panic” behind closed doors.
Regarding Biden, Jones stated on news on Wednesday, “I understand people want to defend him and protect him and give him the space and the dignity to make his own choice.”
However, a significant discussion is currently taking place regarding how, not whether, this occurs.”
According to Jones, the situation is similar to that of the late President Trump, who had surrogates who would publicly support him but behave differently behind the scenes.
“I just got to be honest, everybody comes on the air and says all this great stuff but behind the scenes, it’s full-scale panic,” Jones stated. “Legal documents are being sent about, and PDFs are being shared back and forth on WhatsApp as people try to ascertain their choices. How do you take Biden’s place? How do you encourage him to perform in a way that makes him feel valued, as he ought to be valued?”
Talks were now shifting to who Vice President Harris would run alongside as the party’s nominee, according to Jones.
