ISLAMABAD President Asif Ali Zardari continues to be one of the main guarantors for the stability of the current system, notwithstanding the criticisms made by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.
Even though Bilawal’s recent tirade against the PML-N and the Shehbaz Sharif government garnered media attention, the regime, which was put in place with the PPP’s backing, is not in danger.
Despite their criticism of the PML-N, Bilawal and other important PPP officials are aware that the party will not abandon its support for the Shehbaz government, which would not be able to function without the PPP’s help.
President Zardari is working with Prime Minister Shehbaz and Army Chief General Asim Munir to sustain the current system, as everyone who matters in it is aware.
