HYDERABAD/SEHWAN: In Sehwan, thousands of devotees have converged to honor the Sufi saint in celebration of the 773rd Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).
Syed Owais Qadir Shah, the acting governor of Sindh, laid a “chadar” (sheet) at the saint’s grave and offered Fateha on Monday, marking the start of the festivities at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).
Alongside Shah were Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Bilal Ahmed Memon, Secretary Auqaf Sibghatullah Mehr, and Sindh Minister for Auqaf Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi.
The acting governor, who gave clothing and gifts to underprivileged women and recognized the importance of the occasion, was given a commemorative shield by Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Ali Qadri.
Shah told reporters in an interview that
