DHAKA: The official lifting of Dhaka University’s (DU) ban on admitting Pakistani students is a significant step in improving academic cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmad Khan conducted a syndicated meeting on November 13 to accept the decision, which Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof. Sayma Haque Bidisha confirmed, according to The News.
Pakistani students will now be able to enroll at Dhaka University under the revised policy, and Bangladeshi students will also be encouraged to seek higher education options in Pakistan.
The action is expected to improve cooperation in education, culture, and other areas of shared interest, according to university authorities.
