interview with News , Miller—previously renowned for “American Sniper”—explained how she ended up involved with Costner’s side project, “Horizon: An American Saga.”
Well, I received a call. “Be still my ’90s heart,” 42-year-old Miller said. It stated that Kevin Costner would like to talk with you on a project he’s working on. Then I received four scripts, so I figured it had to be TV. No, it wasn’t. It’s intended for motion pictures. I was ecstatic to see Kevin Costner on Zoom after that. In any case, our talk was fantastic. We had a great relationship. And he concluded by saying, “Sienna, I have one.”
I said to myself, “Yes, I will go.” She recalled, “I promise to travel to the moon and back a million times.”
Miller said that she had admired Costner’s work since “Dances with Wolves” and even gave two of her pet bunnies names derived from the film’s protagonists.
“I named one after the wolf and another after the horse from the movie. I had Cleopatra, Thumper, Badger, Two Socks, and Cisco,” she revealed to News .
Miller continued, “I was a big fan of that movie.” “It broke my heart and [I] was very obsessed with Kevin from that moment forth.”
