Washington: In sharp contrast to President Joe Biden’s more conventional seasonal message, US President-elect Donald Trump has used a number of social media posts to wish people a Merry Christmas while revisiting contentious remarks, such as annexing Canada and acquiring Greenland.
Trump sent out a quick barrage of three dozen posts throughout the day, with his Christmas messages specifically targeting “radical left lunatics” and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, “whose citizens’ taxes are far too high,” while Biden posted a brief, conventional seasonal message about “kindness and compassion.”
“Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics, who are constantly trying to obstruct our court system and our elections,” the president-elect wrote in one tweet, employing his notoriously capricious capitalization.
