On June 3, was there an opportunity for you to observe six planets in a row? Rest assured, there will be another chance in August. There will be a unique astronomical event on August 24 when six planets will be visible at the same moment in the night sky.
Neptune and Uranus will need binoculars for a clearer view, while Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars will be visible with the unaided eye. As night falls, Saturn will lead the planetary procession, with Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars following suit on the horizon. About half an hour before daybreak, Mercury will come into view, capping off the display.Known as a “planet parade,” this planet alignment will be seen from all over the world. This year, there have been three instances of this kind. A few planets were already seen during the solar eclipse in April, then on June 3rd there was the second planet parade. This amazing alignment will be visible for a week in various places of the earth in August.
So make sure to include this amazing astronomical event on your calendars and not miss it. This planetary alignment provides an ideal chance to ponder the wonders of our solar system, regardless of your level of familiarity with stargazing.
