Drake Bell recently begged Drake & Josh fans to be patient with his co-star Josh Peck after Drake revealed the sexual assault by former Nickelodeon language coach Brian Peck.
Fans chastised Josh for staying silent and bombarded his Instagram and TikTok accounts with comments labeling him unsupportive.
Drake Bell defended his costar on Instagram on Wednesday, March 20, and posted a video.
Bell began the video by talking about fans commenting on Josh’s TikTok: “I’ve noticed a lot of comments on some of Josh’s TikTok and some of his postings, and I just want to let you guys know that processing this and going through this is a really emotional period, and a lot of it’s very, very difficult.”Bell then mentioned that he and Josh had chatted individually, and not everything is to be disclosed publicly. “So not everything is made public, but I just wanted you to know that he has reached out to me, and while it has been extremely sensitive, he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this, and he has been really, really nice. So I just wanted to let you know, and just take it easy on him.”
