Over the course of Tuesday and overnight, a wildfire that began in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles has rapidly expanded over the city’s west.
The fire was fueled by strong winds and extremely dry conditions, which caused it to spread quickly across neighborhoods. In just a few hours, the fires reportedly grew from 10 acres to around 3,000.
Residents were compelled to evacuate as tens of thousands of people were under evacuation orders, and firefighters have been fighting the fire all night.
As firemen attempt to contain the fires, photographers have documented stunning views around the city’s west.
