The 52-year-old “Sopranos” star told News that leaving the business was “no big deal,” as she never felt like she belonged in Hollywood to begin with.
You know, I am asked all the time about being shunned, canceled, or expelled from Hollywood. I never experienced that,” she clarified. “To start with, I wasn’t in there. I’ve never played in Hollywood. I’ve performed in a couple TV shows as an actor. I performed well. I even have some achievement awards and other things, you know. However, I never truly worked in the field.
“I’ve never played the celebrity game,” De Matteo, who portrayed Adriana La Cerva on “The Sopranos,” clarified.
Joking that the tombstones in her new Tombstone line have name plates on them “in case you forget who you are, just take a look down there,” Matteo is currently concentrating on her new jewelry collection, which is a component of her ULTRAFREE clothing line.
Charms can also be added to them, she noted.
“I mean, so a lot of people make nameplates, but ours have little protection symbols,” she said. “You could attach a gun or a cross to it.”
