RAWALPINDI: Today marks the seventh bilateral cooperative exercise in the counterterrorism sector between the military of Pakistan and Russia, known as cooperative Exercise Druzhba-VII, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced in a statement on Tuesday.
As per the media wing of the military, Light Commando Troops from the Pakistan Army and a Russian Military Contingent participated in the two-week-long exercise that started on October 13 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Pabbi.
As the principal guest at the exercise’s opening ceremony, the commandant of the National Counter Terrorism Center was included in the statement.
According to the ISPR, the exercise aims to harness the historical military-to-military relations among the friendly countries while also enhancing professional skills via cooperative training.
“Participating troops are looking forward to benefit from mutual expertise/ experience,” stated.
