There are still more delays in the schedule release for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which is scheduled for February in Pakistan. According to media reports, it is doubtful that an announcement would be made in the next 24 hours, but if stakeholders are flexible, a release within a day or two is still feasible.
The competition is in jeopardy since India has refused to tour Pakistan. Ten days ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wrote to the ICC to request an explanation, but they have not heard back as of yet.
Although the ninth-ranked country is usually used by the ICC to replace a withdrawn team, the council feels that India’s absence would greatly reduce the tournament’s attraction and income. The matter has not been settled.
