ISLAMABAD: After finding two defendants guilty of disseminating blasphemous posts on social media, a district and sessions court in Islamabad condemned them to death on Thursday. In addition, the court imposed heavy fines and granted life imprisonment under several provisions.
Following a hearing on a case involving the two individuals who “created, uploaded, and displayed” blasphemous content on social media, Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka pronounced the verdict.
After receiving a complaint against the guys in 2021, the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a First Information Report (FIA).
According to the investigate agency, it gathered “sufficient incriminating evidence” against the accused during an investigation to show their involvement in the offenses covered by Peca
