From Sunday, February 2nd, to Tuesday, February 4th, Prince Edinburgh will be in India to promote youth and the advantages of informal education.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, known as the International Award for Young People (IAYP) in India, is a non-formal education and learning framework that helps young people discover their purpose, place, and passion in the world. The royal family said in a statement that the duke has been in Mumbai and Delhi to promote the award.
More than 150,000 students from 325 schools and other educational institutions nationwide have benefited from the award since it was first presented in India in 1962.
