LAHORE: US Consul General Kristin Hawkins accompanied US Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Natalie Baker on her first visit to Lahore, where they discussed how US-Pakistan relations have bolstered bilateral trade and investment, cultural preservation initiatives, and youth educational opportunities in Punjab.
DCM Baker met with officials of US corporations to talk about the various corporate efforts that US companies are using to support Pakistani communities and provide high-quality jobs for young people in Pakistan.
DCM Baker and Consul General Hawkins played cricket with female athletes at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) as a powerful demonstration of their support for gender equity. DCM Baker also highlighted US-funded programs that empower young Pakistani women via sports, exchange programs, and other means.
