Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah decided to expedite the timely completion of the federal government-funded development projects in the province during Sharif’s day-long visit to Karachi on Friday.
According to a statement released by the CM House on Friday, the development occurred after PM Shehbaz, who is currently visiting Karachi for a day, met with the chief minister of Sindh and had a talk about various projects that the federal government has started in the province.
CM Murad informed the PM that the BRT Redline and Yellow Line projects are now underway thanks to support from donor organizations and the province government.
The CM stated, “Work on the Yellow Line would begin shortly, and work on the Red Line project was in full swing.”In order to include KCR in the CPEC, the prime minister gave the chief minister the assurance that his administration was actively collaborating with Chinese officials. He went on to say that the KCR was significant and will soon be launched with Chinese support.
According to the communiqué, they also talked about the rising cost of electricity and how it is causing discontent among the populace.
Following a lengthy debate, both leaders decided to switch to Thar coal for all coal-fired power plants in order to minimize production costs.
