While speaking with Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller on TNT’s alternate broadcast of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Charles Barkley disparaged the city of San Francisco.
During his eighteen-year NBA career, Barkley questioned Miller about his preference between playing in the cold in Indianapolis or “being around a bunch of homeless crooks in San Francisco.”
Draymond Green, a player for the Golden State Warriors, described Barkley as “crazy” and said he wasn’t “welcome” in the city. Star of the WNBA Candace Parker remarked, “We love San Francisco,” to which Barkley responded.
“We don’t,” he responded. “… You are unable to move around in that area.”
Green’s rebuttal was forceful.
“You are free to move around,” he said.
Barkley replied, “Yes, with a bulletproof vest,” with another clap.
