KARACHI: Chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated on Tuesday that although Karachi was drenched by torrential rains yesterday night, the monsoon spell’s apex was yet unknown, with over 150 millimeters of rain predicted to pummel the port city.
Speaking on the news show “Pakistan,” Sarfaraz issued a warning that Karachi would have significant rainfall starting tomorrow and lasting for the following three to four days.
“The monsoon system is expected to grow stronger after August 28 as Karachi may receive as much as 150-200 millimeters rain,” he stated.
