On Tuesday, a powerful earthquake with a Richter scale of 5.3 shook parts of northwest Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and its neighboring districts, Swat, and Malakand.
The epicentre of the earthquake, which is roughly 110 kilometers deep in the Hindu Kush region, is located close to the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.
Residents of Mingora, Bajawar, Dir, Buner, Shangla, and other nearby cities were alarmed and fled their houses and buildings in a hurry.
Despite the magnitude of the earthquake, no area of the capital or its surrounding regions had reported any injuries or property damage.
