Abdul Aleem Khan, the federal minister for the Investment Board, Communications, and Privatization, emphasized on Thursday the pressing need to sell off loss-making businesses in order to boost the economy and lessen the load on the federal purse.
While presiding over the 223rd session of the Privatization Board in Islamabad, he said these things.
“Privatization of loss-making institutions is paramount,” the minister said, emphasizing the need for quick action. The law mandates that these issues be resolved promptly.”
In order to maintain the process’ integrity, he emphasized the need for secrecy where it was necessary, especially in privatization negotiations.
