Mason Reynolds, a 19-year-old from Moulscoomb, studied roofing and bricklaying while also working part-time as a laborer.
It was said that he led “in many ways, a not untypical existence of a young man in his late teens” and that he lived with his parents.
Reynolds, however, was a neo-Nazi who thought that white people were “destined to dominate the rest of mankind,” according to prosecutor Naomi Parsons, who testified at Winchester Crown Court.
She stated that Reynolds “does not find himself here because he has political, racial or ideological views that some may find distasteful or indeed abhorrent” .
He is in this position because he has acted on those political, racial, and intellectual beliefs in addition to simply holding them.”
When Reynolds was taken into custody, investigators discovered a note titled “Enough Larping”—a call to action referring to terminating his “live action role play”—on his phone, which was created on May 7, 2023.
Reynolds had given the address of Hove Synagogue, along with information about its CCTV cameras and fire exits, along with a 13-second video of the building’s façade taken from Google Maps.
He further stated, “Possible buzzer to get into the building, 1 camera on the left side (side entrance locked by gate).”
