The Supreme Court Bar Association’s annual elections are now taking place.
Voting will go on until 5:00 p.m., having started at 8 a.m. Voting in Lahore started fifteen minutes later than scheduled.
Four thousand and twenty-one voters are eligible to vote, with the majority (1,414) living in Lahore. Five places are being contested by seventeen people.
Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar is running against Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta for the presidency. Malik Zahid Aslam and Salman Mansoor are running for the Secretary post. Rana Bakhtiar and Rana Ghulam Sarwar are competing for the post of Vice President (Punjab).
There is a contest between Muhammad Aurangzeb and Raja Zabeer Hussain for the job of Additional Secretary.
