Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s son, filed for divorce from Marieangela King a few days prior to his conservatorship hearing.
Elijah, who filed for divorce from his wife in 2021, requested a dismissal “without prejudice” on Tuesday, according to records that PEOPLE was able to access.
The information is related to Cher’s December 2023 conservatorship request, which she made on the grounds that her son is “substantially unable to manage his financial resources.”
Furthermore, citing their “tumultuous relationship marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises” as the primary cause, the 77-year-old singer rejected Mariangela as a possible conservator.

Later on, the King band issued a statement to Page Six.”I’ve always spoken up for Elijah’s sobriety and the sober community. Establishments that keep me (his wife) out of Elijah’s treatment and hopefully speedy recovery are something I cannot stand,” she declared.
Mariangela further claimed in October 2023 that she had not seen her divorced husband since April 2023, just after they decided to “work on their marriage” while going through a divorce.
Throughout that period, she persisted in accusing her mother-in-law of “interfering” with her son’s “health management as well as his location and accessibility.”
