The salary gap between male and female performers in Hollywood was finally addressed by Ellen Pompeo.
When the 55-year-old actress appeared on the most recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, she voiced her displeasure with the salary difference between herself and her male co-star Patrick Dempsey on the popular program Grey’s Anatomy.
The TV personality disclosed that because Patrick was already a well-known actor when their popular series debuted, he received a higher salary than she did.
“You had a quote back then; I’m not sure if they still do this or not.” And you got your quote with every TV pilot you did,” Ellen remarked.
“So, if you’ve completed thirteen TV pilots and nothing specific to him, but merely men in general.
