Sir Elton John is calling Chappell Roan a “wonderful” pop star.
When he introduced Roan’s performance at his yearly Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in Los Angeles on Sunday, the 77-year-old musician showed his appreciation for her.
John said to the guests at the lavish celebration, “[I] just freaked out [when I heard her music].”
The Rocket Man hitmaker went on to say, “I wanted to get her on the show right away. When she did, I interviewed her and fell in love with both the record and her. Hopefully, I’ve remained her buddy and spoke to her frequently.
