Elvish Yadav, an Indian influencer who won the second season of Bigg Boss Over-The-Top (OTT), has been detained for reportedly selling snake venom as a recreational substance at rave parties in his hometown.
Yadav, 26, has been held for 14 days under the Wildlife Protection Act, according to The Sun, citing Indian media reports.
He was caught following a police raid on a party in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in November, where participants were found using snake venom for self-intoxication.
According to Indian broadcaster NDTV, authorities discovered nine snakes, including cobras, and 20ml of snake venom.
Police initiated an inquiry and questioned five people on suspicion of snake smuggling, all of whom identified Yadav as the suspected organizer of the parties and snake venom supply.
